Acupuncture

Ancient Healing

Are you new to acupuncture and unsure what to expect? Many new patients discover their experience with acupuncture is different than their original expectations. Acupuncture, as performed by Cory Jecmen L.Ac., looks like a life-coaching session coupled with a targeted therapy that helps you move your life in the areas we just discussed. My treatment and my coaching are both tailored specifically to meet your individual needs. I work to create a space where you feel heard, learn new ideas, reframe old limiting patterns, and get a physiological nudge that improves your quality of life and supports your movement into a healthier version of you. The you, that in your core, you know is possible.
Most people understand that acupuncture addresses a number of physical pain conditions. It does that effectively. We also can address a multitude of things that prevent you from participating fully in your life. Your acupuncture experience has the potential to improve a host of unfavorable ailments that range from fatigue, emotional feelings like anxiety and depression, prolonged grief or sadness, immunological issues ranging from auto-immune conditions to common colds and flu symptoms, as well as digestive disturbances of a chronic or acute nature.  Acupuncture works to activate an electro-chemical network in your body that encourages the return to balance of bodily systems including the nervous, endocrine and circulatory systems. It has far reaching effects beyond and including the relief of pain.
If unfamiliar with acupuncture, the insertion of acupuncture needles may not be what you expect. The needles used in acupuncture procedures are very different than the needles most people experience in medical settings. We use an ultra-thin solid filament needle that feels almost nothing like the large-gauge hypodermic needle that patients are used to when giving blood. We also use less than many people expect, often around a dozen per treatment.  We do not want any fear of needles to prevent you from receiving these benefits. My concern is centered wholly around a positive experience for you, which means if you’re not completely enjoying yourself during treatment, we will cease the acupuncture.
I am a medical provider because my life’s purpose is to improve the quality of life of those around me and reduce their suffering. I am an acupuncturist because I find fulfillment in being a part that process on a consistent basis. If you have any questions about acupuncture or would like to have a chat before you start up treatment with me, please feel free to reach out and we will get it arranged.

Sincerely,
Cory Jecmen, M.Ac.,L.Ac.
